Independent certification basic and advanced driver training executive driver
By following the CCV-D1, basic driver training course for executive drivers, you can obtain the CCV-D1 Certificate for Executive Driver. After the CCV-D1 you can follow the CCV-D2, advanced driver training course for executive driver and can obtain the CCV-D2 Certificate for Executive Driver. These certificates are accepted and valued throughout the branch. The relevant exams are examined independently by the CCV. This way, a clear national norm has been established for the basic and advanced driving training courses for VIP, government and executive chauffeurs.
The CCV is an accredited examination institute
The examinations for the CCV-D1 and CCV-D2 Certificates for Executive Chauffeur are taken by examiners of the CCV, Contactcommissie Vakbekwaamheid. The CCV is an independent division of the Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen (CBR) [Driving Standards Agency]. It is a renowned examination institute in the field of driving training courses. PDS is accredited by the CCV as a trainer. This means that you can obtain a full CCV-D1 and CCV-D2 diploma.
Validity period and renewal of certificate
Both the CCV-D1 and the CCV-D2 Certificate for Executive Chauffeur are valid for five years. The certificate will be renewed for a period of a maximum of five years. The condition is that you, within a period of a maximum of five years, starting from the date of issue of the certificate, follow at least three application (maintenance) days. One of these application days can be a theoretical day. The other days must be practical days. These application days can be followed on three consecutive days or spread out and must been followed at a training centre accredited by the CCV. PDS is of course accredited by the CCV to do so.
What is the date of issue of my certificate?
To renew the certificate you must have attended the minimum of three application days and applied for the renewal before the expiry date of the certificate. The new certificate starts on the date on which you followed your last (third) application day.
When you follow the last (third) application day in the final year in which the certificate is valid (in the last 365 days of the year), than the date of issue of the new certificate will be the expiry date of the previous certificate. To obtain the maximum period of renewal, it is recommended to follow the last application day in the final year in which the certificate is valid.
Exemption for taxi certificate
The CCV-D1 Certificate for Executive Chauffeur grants exemption for the taxi certificate. That way you kill two birds with one stone. You can therefore apply for the Taxi Driver Diploma without having to incur additional training costs. Together with a Certificate of Good Conduct (Verklaring omtrent het Gedrag) and a Taxi medical certificate (geneeskundige verklaring), you can apply for a Taxi Driver Card. The driver card is also known as a taxi pass or driver’s pass. This card is required when performing taxi services. For example, if you were to work for a company that offers taxi transport in addition to executive transport, you can also carry out taxi rides with such a driver card.
